This #TipTuesday is about your GUTTERS!

Over time, there can be major build up in your gutters from leaves, sticks, and mud. While this buildup does not seem to be a big deal, it can cause major water damage to your home or business. When the water falling or rolling off the roof does not have an easy path to the ground, then it begins to start seeping into other places, like through your roof or wall. This can then cause a slow leak that will eventually turn into a larger problem. It can include mold beginning to grow, or the water causing major harm to your building’s interior.

To prevent this, every so often check and see if your gutters are beginning to have any of this build up. If you notice any, take the time to properly clean them out.

If you already notice some damage to your building, give SERVPRO of Hardin/Larue Counties a call to let us make it “Like it never even happened.”
